| Chronicling a serial killer’s life, this ambitious EP from Romania’s self proclaimed lords of ‘Groovy’ Death Metal is a refreshing experience drenched in off beat humor and a slower tempo. The opening salvo that’s ‘Well Cum’ quite literally cums on your ears in a frenzy of violent speed. Following a story arc fashioned after the sensations of an orgasm—rather ingenious one might say—the tempo slows down for the wholesomely titled ‘Breastfeed Your Child.’ From here until the end this EP is excreting melody like leftover semen and runs a lot slower than your standard-fare Death Metal. Primarily because Loudrage focus on playing decent music you can bob your head to. Just try ‘Criminal’ or the erotic coupling of thrashiness and strange lyrical themes on ‘One Bullet, Two Whores.’ Finishing with the last creative ejaculations of ‘Another One of Us,’ these sex-addicted pornmeisters prove beyond a doubt that crass sexual imagery can go hand-in-hand with your favorite music. This entire review is rather unreliable. . . Loudrage do play seriously and their music is quite original. Original in the sense of being catchy and hook-laden while not groovy like they claim. But is it really good? A little. So let’s just stick to making childish phallic references and keep things interesting. Yeah, your penis rules.
